-Pros: The project turned out really well. I ended up using paper mache technique to make the branches and the trunk. the loop under the tree act as a good support and a different texture.
-Cons: The only cons about the project is that its very fragile. Also, if i were to make the base of the tree more stable and uniform. -Process: First i found the middle of the book and cut all of these pages in half. Then I rolled up a piece of paper and cut it. Then I taped some wires in to the outside for the branches. Finally i put book pages over the wire and trunk. then i hot glued them together.
1. I think the nose warm-up was the most helpful in my piece because it really helped me make the nose a 3D element of the face instead of it being 2D like in most drawings. When I was beginning my piece, my medium was paint, I had to really think about how I wanted to highlight the nose to give it a different feel. I wanted to do this without giving a different style to the nose than the rest of the face.
2. I think it was most surprising that the eyes are halfway down the face. Normally people, including me, draw eyes higher up not he face which limits the realism in the drawing. I found that when drawing the keys correctly I was more satisfied with the result.
